Description of the pool construction
- The side walls are mostly made of smoothly polished single-sided sheets, where the upper part makes up the so-called spillway rim of the pool, over which water spills to the trough through the covering grill. The spillway rim also acts as a grab rim. This system provides noiseless drainage of water to the spillway trough.
- A 100 mm wide safety step is formed on the walls of the pool in pools of a depth greater than 1 350 mm.
- Spillway troughs are made to provide 100% drainage of pool water and are covered by a grill made from polypropylene or stainless steel.
- Circulation of water in the pool is provided by a system of adjustable base jets made of stainless steel, which provide 100% exchange of water throughout the pool without any blind spots.
- For pools with a depth less than 900 mm, the base of the pool is made of non-slip stainless steel sheeting; for deeper pools the base has a smooth surface.
- All entry points to the pool (steps) and banisters are made of stainless steel.
- Accessories – e.g. starting blocks, handrails, benches, water-shoots, ..., are in most cases fixed parts of the pool.
- These days the cost of stainless steel materials is comparable to the cost of other available materials used for the construction of pools and stainless steel materials have a much higher durability and quality.
